DUPR Partners With Sports Control Hub to Bring Rated Tournaments to Southeast Asia

Pickleball players across Southeast Asia now have a clearer path to DUPR-rated competition thanks to a new partnership between Sports Control Hub and DUPR. The Singapore-based tournament management platform has named DUPR its official rating system, integrating it directly into the way tournaments are organised and run.

Sports Control Hub is a tournament management platform for organisers across Southeast Asia. The platform covers tournament setup and scheduling, live match scoring, real-time venue displays, automated rankings, and club management to give organisers everything they need to run professional-grade events with a small team.

For players, this means that events hosted on Sports Control Hub will now count toward their official DUPR rating—the same global standard used by clubs, leagues, and tournaments around the world. For organisers, it removes the guesswork and manual work that often comes with levelling divisions and reporting results. Ratings are pulled in at registration, divisions are set against a trusted benchmark, and match outcomes flow back to DUPR automatically. It is headquartered in Singapore with operations in the Philippines.

Levelling the Playing Field + Connected Playing Field

Tournament organisers have long struggled with fairness when players self-declare their skill levels. As Sports Control Hub founder Jherome Escueta explained, “Self-declared skill levels break down the moment you have more than a handful of participants. With DUPR as our official rating system, every player comes in with a rating that reflects their actual match results, so organisers can place players in the right divisions with confidence.”

By embedding DUPR into the workflow, Sports Control Hub ensures that brackets are balanced and competitors face opponents at their level. It’s a shift that promises more competitive matches and a better overall experience for everyone involved.

Sports Control Hub already covers the full life cycle of an event—from registration and scheduling to live scoring and real-time venue displays. With DUPR now part of the system, tournaments become more than one-off competitions. As co-founder Paul Tolentino put it, “When a player’s rating, tournament placement, match results, and progression can all be connected, tournaments become part of a player’s journey in the sport.”

What This Means for Southeast Asia

The partnership is particularly significant for Southeast Asia, where access to DUPR-rated events has been limited. Players in Singapore, the Philippines, and beyond can now build their ratings closer to home, while organisers gain a streamlined way to host professional-grade tournaments without large operations teams.

In short, DUPR’s integration with Sports Control Hub is more than a technical upgrade—it’s a step toward making pickleball in Southeast Asia fairer, more connected, and more accessible. For a sport growing at pace, that’s a partnership with real impact.
